Samuel Fruin Sam, Samo, Gerbil, Gerry, G.Erbil, Fruity Jnr Jnr, Mini Fruin

Sam is the youngest and least ginger Fruin. At the tender age of 15 he has started to make a name for himself as a batsmen. During the Festival 6aSide tournament he opened the batting and smeared the first 4 balls of the innings for, 4,6,4,1 - and retired. The next day in a KVL game, after watching his middle sized brother return with a golden duck, he set about his business chalking up 47 in 10 overs, more sixes were involved. Oh and he did all of this, with a fractured thumb. Sam hits the ball very cleanly for someone of his age, and as a lad of fairly small stature it is even more pleasurable to see the bowlers faces after being dispatched over the boundary.
Sam also makes a very useful in fielder, he is not scared of the ball and has an arm like a rocket launcher, sometimes a little too powerful for village cricket.
Much potential surrounds the Village's best loved Gerbil, as long as he doesn't steal the sawdust.
