Very few men are born a villager (it being something that is acquired and developed), except for Frank Holmes, Pete Hindmarch and the Blue Falcon.  Simo is the most of the clubs three aussies, but proving a villager can be international, Simo didnt need to have the spock, or the spock lock explained to him. 
Simmo is one of the most excellent of men, you could imagine him being a rifleman in the South Essex under Major Richard Sharpe during the peninsular wars.  Indeed you could imagine him chasing a turk around a Rock at Gallipoli in 1915.  He also has a very strong constitution and a capacity of excess.  Like all true villagers he has a thirst and love for cold lager.
Simmo bowls tidy away swingers, hits the ball hard but most impressive is his fielding.  Years of playing baseball means he throws like a bullet and has safe strong hands.
