Robert Fruin Robbo, Roberto, Robbo Fru, Fruity Jnr
Rob joined the club in the 2004 outdoor season, after a stint at Street End under 15s. He is the middle of the Fruin
Brothers that plague intensify the village. Starting his village career as a somewhat aggressive first change
bowler, 'The Fru' has turned himself into an
important part of the destructive opening partnership
of 'Stirling/Fruin'. In 2007 he started showing real promise of turning into an
equally destructive middle order
batsman, brandishing his new Kookaburra he hit a PB and innings high 47 not out. Also an integral part of the village indoor side for the past 3 years,
Rob in fact
made his first village appearance indoors in 2003. He has racked up several 25s
and regularly contributes with quick
fire 20s, often followed up by 'fox-like' fielding at point and fiery bowling. |
