Matthew Showler Princess

By far the most vocal and annoying member of the Showler family, Harbledown Cricket Club and Legal profession.  Matt is  passionate about his village, off the pitch he wears the hats of club secretary, treasurer and solicitor.  On the pitch he had proved when the occasion has demanded a decent wicketkeeper and freeflowing batsmen who has greatly enhanced whatever side he has played in.  Princess (as he is known to some) can be viewed as a encouraging presence or an irrititant depending on where you standing when he is behind the sticks.  Matt enjoys placing events in a historical context and to this he is much like Major Docus from the later 'sharp' novels, Ducos being Napoleons cheif of intelligence for the uninitiated.  Basically given to pompous political posturing in a ridiculous pair of spectacles although his own ego would seek a comparison with the emporer himself.  However his commitment to the revolution on and off the pitch is beyond question.  No one has wanted to see the firsts win more than Matt.
