Mark Cross Crossy
Mark, another fine find by Stirling, as well as one of Canterbury College's finest, is arguably one of the clubs most robust and multifaceted players. He has batted in every position between 3 and 11, it is only his new career that prevented him making his debut as an opening batsman in 2008. Mark is a semi-regular for the twos, unfortunately of late his new job has required him to work Sundays, so he tends to feature more in friendlies. A useful middle/lower order batsman, with a mighty swing and positive outlook, Mark looks to get about scoring runs and is rarely bogged down by a bowler.
Occasionally Mark will be seen turning his arm over, usually from the top end, but is victim to the clubs quota system for left armers who like bowling beamers.
Marks fielding is reliable if not solid, he has made behind square on the 45 something of his own, unfortuantely the magic of his left arm is often lost for the twos, as the wicket keeper looks dazed expecting the ball to be coming from the other hand.
