James is the youngest and comfortably the most popular member of the Showler family. It is often said that James is destined to make up for his older brothers' failings and bring balance to the force and the village. To that end he is much like Anakin Skywalker (aka Darth Vader). This provides a natural balance to Matt as Princess Leia, Jooge as Han Solo, Graham as Chewbacca and Gavin as R2-D2. It is only to be hoped that he does not turn to the dark side (Kent League cricket) and go on a murderous rampage, ruthlessly slaughtering all villagers that come before him.
                      
                        Auditions for the HCC Xmas pantomime are already underway. The above roles have already been cast. Darters and Mike Barham are neck and neck for the part of C3-PO and the role of Jabba the Hutt is expected to be much contested.
                      
                        James bears more than a passing resemblance to South African fast bowler Morne Morkel. He is a promising all-rounder, who made his first team KVL debut at the tender age of 13 and showed no fear in that game by advancing down the track and smacking the opposition spinner back over his head. Coming in at an imposing 6ft 4" he also shows much potential with the ball; he bowls at a decent pace and has the ability to seam the ball around. James also has a strong arm and a good pair of hands.
