Dave Turner DT

Dave is one of the clubs oldest longest serving members. For many years Dave has been an integral part to the middle order of a strong Harbledown batting line up.
These days, Dave can be found repeatedly trying to convince the 'batsman' of the second XI that scoring fifty from twenty overs, is often more valuable than twenty from two overs... a couple more seasons and we're hoping to see some progress. In all seriousness, Dave's cool head and sound technique is more often than not a deciding factor in whether the second XI win or lose.

For a long time Dave has also maintained the position of wicketkeeper, where he has done a excellent job, standing upto 95% of what was thrown at him, however in the last couple of season he has been remodelling himself as an all rounder. Dave will be the first to admit that his bowling is no longer in the mould of Dennis Lillee, however this has not prevented him from frequently bagging 2/3 wickets a game for very few runs.

Sitting at the top of the Turner tree, Dave is constantly trying to play down his role as father of the twins Neil and Chris, except for those unfortunate matches that land on a full moon and all three Turners appear together, when he is required bash certain heads together.
