Ben Dobson Dobbo
Ben is one of the few survivers from the last crop of home grown youth villagers. A regular at Sunday morning training, with a fear of kwik cricket balls and a hair cut that invited the steady abuse he recieved season upon season, Ben naturally, was the most talented of his age group. By the age of 16 Ben not only had a brutal 60 under his belt, but also had secured his first century. For someone who will spend the entire time before his innings gauging everyones oppinion on how "rapid" the opposition bowlers are, Ben is an extrodinary timer of the ball, who when in form, looks like the real deal... The real deal that fields in skater shoes with orange laces, wears a Glamorgan shirt from the 1980's and doesn't brush his hair.
Unforutunately over recent seasons he has become slave to all things feared by village cricket; girls, alcohol and not moving. This led to a disappointing and unfulfilled 2008 season, one can only hope that sooner rather than later, he remembers his way to the ground, which is all of 50 meters outside his FRONT DOOR, picks up a bat and starts belting the runs that he is more than capable of scoring.
